My zombie car

My car finally has a new name …

I am naming my car after a rheumatoid arthritis medication. Yes, I realize this is a bit weird, but look at who you are dealing with here. Let my little red car forever be known as Orencia.

Orencia of the undead …

zombie girlI think my car is a zombie. Everything about her from the way she groans and moans to the way she occasionally bleeds black liquid is leading me to believe that she has returned to the land of living after suffering a terrible tragedy.

I actually have a car title for Orencia to prove that she is a zombie car. My title is a rebuilt Alabama title. Yes, that is right folks! Orencia died in a car accident and the fools brought her back to life.

I should know better …

Never buy a car without having her checked out first! I know this, and I constantly give this advice to other people. For some reason, I failed to follow my own stupid advice when purchasing Orencia. I decided that the price was too good to be true, so I quickly dropped $3500 on her and walked away with a car that was running great at the time.

My zombie car is now having issues. First, she started blowing out white smoke. Then, the moans and groans started. I decided to check her oil, and there was not even a drop in her engine. She was completely full when I checked a month ago. I am fairly certain that this is not a good sign.

Orencia either has severe PMS or is going through menopause …

OrenciaOrencia is moody. Sometimes her power windows work, and sometimes they don’t. She has some sort of electrical issue. She also has hot/cold flashes that I wish could be solved by turning on the air, but it does not work! When I turn the dials, nothing happens. This is not the worst of my problems when it comes to air. When it is raining and I am already having trouble seeing, my windows fog up and Orencia is unable to help me since her defroster/defogger fail to work. I have to pull to the side of the road until she decides to clear up on her own.

Visit to the doctor …

I am not sure whether to take her to a therapist or a service shop. I decided on the latter, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that Orencia of the undead does not turn out to be a money pit. I really can’t afford it at this point …

I SOOO love your writing! I’m glad your air is working now too ;)

  2. Thanks! Orencia is actually surprising me. I thought she was about to have 4,000 things wrong with her, but this is one nice zombie car! It was only $200 for all her moans and groans. I am back to tolerating her again!
