Will work for food

Two more weeks …

Knowing that I will be broke and unemployed in two weeks has made me the happiest woman alive. I am not sure why I did not do this sooner.

What is the best way to celebrate unemployment?

As I sat on the beach Saturday … wind slapping me in the face … sand ripping at my flesh … I made a decision.

My last day of work is April 25, but I do not move until May 2. What will I do with my last week living in the State of Florida? How can I go out with a bang?

As I argued with myself about my sorted past, I discovered that I let many opportunities pass me by in life. Never again … it is time to catch my rainbow!

Road trip …

florida mapAs the smart, unemployed investor that I am, I have decided to blow a chunk of money driving across Florida (by myself) and stopping in all the places I swore I would visit “one day.”

The journey starts Saturday, April 26 and concludes on Wednesday, April 30. It will be a short trip, but long enough to accomplish the few stops I have in mind. These include St. Augustine, Jupiter and the Everglades.

I get the total package on this road trip … history, hauntings, family, friends, marshland and nature. I can hardly contain my excitement!

Jupiter… A little trip to an old home? you must tell me if it has changed.

Call Grammy, maybe you can stop by. I’m sure she’d like that.

  2. Grammy is letting me stay with her while I am in Jupiter. I have not seen her in ages. I can’t wait to meet Matt!

I think travel is a great idea! Someone told me recently you should accomplish the dreams that you can when you can, and I agree.

    Hauntings? Color me curious.

I see MANY roadtrips in our future (when you get back to Huntsville)! Wayne and I are (almost) debt-free, so he can’t give me the “we don’t have the money” crap anymore!!!!

Hope you have tons of fun on your little adventure. I can’t wait to see you again!

  5. Yay! I will be with my Angela again! You may be debt-free, but I will be broke, broke, broke. Who cares? I am up for living in a cardboard box for a little adventure if you are willing to go on trips with me.

Be careful on your roadtrip…Don’t be too friendly with people you do not know. I am looking forward to your coming home safe, happy and maybe somewhat satisfied for a short time, until the next impulse comes along………love you

  7. Mom, I laughed so hard when I read your comment. Are parents still telling those lies? How did you meet Will if you never talked to strangers? I promise I will be safe. I am a big girl … I am almost 29 years old! The second part of your comment had me rolling on the floor. Do you really think I am impulsive? Ha ha … you don’t have to answer that.
