Columbus is a moron
In celebration of Columbus Day, I would like to direct you to a blog entry I wrote last year in honor of this psuedo holiday.
While the rest of you are out there enjoying your Monday off from work, I will be happy to know that I have absolutely no part in the celebration of this horrible holiday.

Is it burglars?
Around 2:30 a.m. Monday, I woke to a loud scraping noise outside my window. The sound was followed by a loud hissing. I jumped from the bed and peeled back the blinds. Nothing. I almost returned to bed when I heard the sound repeat … only this time louder.

I hate Mondays! If this particular day could be wiped off of the calendar, I think life would be much better for everyone.
But, as luck would have it, Monday still exists …
I turned out of my apartment complex onto a road that intersects two school zones. I was barely in the school zone in front of a high school when I noticed a cop standing outside of his car with a radar gun.
